How does the interior design service work?

There are 3 phases for each service we offer. There’s the initial intake and consultation
to determine the scope of the project, the design phase where drawings, moodboards, and/or layouts are created in collaboration with the client, and the documentation phase where all paperwork is finalized (drawings, product lists are completed, furnishings are ordered) and assistance with scheduling contractor work if required depending on the project. Each phase differs slightly per service, but generally, this is the order for project completion.  We will work with you every step of the way, from identifying your goals and dreams all the way through the install and completion of the project.

How do I know which service is best for me?

Please take a peek at our services offered and if you have any questions, feel free to
contact us at any time through the general contact page to describe your project and what you are looking to do. We will help you to determine which service will be the best fit for your project!

How long will the project take?

This is dependent on your unique project. Following the initial consultation to determine
the scope of your project, we will put together a detailed proposal and will provide the estimated time frame for each phase and project completion.

What will my designer do for me?

We will talk to you and we want to get to know you! We want to know what you like, what
you don’t like and what your goals are for the project. This way we can put together a creative and realistic plan for your space. Each client and their space is unique and we will design the space to the client specifications. Style, budget and timeline are all considered. We will provide you with a detailed design portfolio specifying every detail that was outlined in the project in order for your space to be complete. The designer will assist with identifying all of the details in order for your re-design, remodel, or renovation to be complete

What won’t my designer do for me?

The designer is not a general contractor. We will be happy to assist you in finding the
right contractors for the job, whether it’s an electrician, painter, plumber or woodworker. Management of the contractors or general contractor will be the responsibility of the client. The designer will be available for any questions or clarifications as the project is underway. Depending on the scope of the project, the designer will make site visits to ensure the installation is going as planned.

The designer is not an organizer. We will be happy to assist you in identifying the furniture or accessories to help you get organized as part of the design service, but we will not actually perform organizing services. If you need assistance in this area, we will be happy to refer you to a professional organizer.
