Home is definitely where my heart is and I share it with my husband, 7 year old daughter, 3 year old son and our rescued black lab. I love beautiful interiors and value living in a comfortable home. I am convinced that our surroundings make us happier and offer us an opportunity to unwind at the end of the day in order to recharge our batteries. I love how color can affect our mood or the way our favorite chair paired with a cup of coffee, a blanket and a good book can make us feel so enveloped in the comfort of home.

My home is filled with items that are both meaningful and practical. Let’s face it, kids and pets can wreak havoc. There is a way to having a well designed home that can withstand the daily grind. It’s all in making the right choices and finding the balance between the chaos and calm.

Oak and Olive Design Studio is based in Madison, WI. My focus is to create spaces that are both modern and timeless. Older homes tend to have character but may not be practical for today’s families, new homes may lack character but are designed to be functional powerhouses. I strive to blend the two together. A gorgeous aesthetic that speaks to the family within yet serves the family and their guests in every way possible.
