Life is all about evolving and I feel so lucky to have been on a career changing evolution.

I honestly believe that one thing does lead to another, doors open, connections are made and new beginnings happen just by putting yourself out there. There’s no reason to feel stuck in a career path that’s just...not you!

I spent my college days, studying hard to receive my degree in Occupational Therapy, but I always knew in my heart, I had a strong desire to create. Somewhere along the line, I started a creative blog and became enamored with design and homes.

In 2012, I began Oak+Olive; a furniture painting and refinishing company. Sometimes people brought cherished heirlooms to me to refresh. Other times, I found treasure at the local thrift shop where amazing pieces sat waiting for me. I loved creating unique pieces for people to cherish and put in their homes. In the years that followed, I shipped pieces nationwide while also refinishing many pieces locally. This fueled a desire to expand my passion for interior decorating.

In 2016, I began a massive home renovation and found the entire process exhilarating. That cemented it! Soon after I began coursework to follow my dream of pursuing Interior Design and I am excited to graduate in 2018 from The Interior Design Institute. Along the way, I’ve already begun working with client’s on their makeovers and remodels. I love home design and decor and truly believe that your home is a reflection of you and your personality.
